What are the limitations on printing? CMYK? RGB?
The print process is CMYK+White.
How many colors can you use to print?
Virtually unlimited with the process colors. You can specify Spot/Pantone colors as well, but they’ll be reproduced via CMYK. There aren’t any color limits, but all colors are re-created with CMYK process, so any Pantone/Spot colors will be reproduced with process colors.
Do you print on the whole bag or just the center region?
Do you provide a digital 'proof'?
YES! We provide digital PDF proofs.
How long does it take you to provide a custom mylar bag proof?
Typically in 3-5 business days.
What file format do you need the design?
.ai, .eps, .psd, .img, .png, .jpeg, .gif, or .pdf? We prefer AI, but an AI-compatible PDF is also accepted. We like to provide the Die Line in AI. Please have your artwork as a separate layer. For multiple SKUs, its helpful to have each SKU on its own layer.
What will the bag make up consist of? Black/White? Matte or Glossy?
We can do full matte or full gloss, just can’t mix both in 1 count. You would need to have 2 seperate batches of 5000 bags minimum
Are there expedited costs? If so, what's that cost & turnaround?
We expedite on good faith when we can, no additional costs necessary.
What will show when part of a bag isnt printed?
In the absence of print, the metallized layer will shine through, so you will see silver. You can leverage this in artwork as well to get ‘shiny’ elements.
Do you require payment upfront?
After a proof is approved, we require 50% down. When the bags are done, remainder of payment is required.
